Welcome to all of our Tree Amigos!
This website provides a 'meeting place' for the Scottish primary schools involved in the Tree Amigos environment programme with Trees4Scotland. We hope that you enjoy loading up information and discussing things in the blogs! Clermiston Primary's visit to Balmuick Farm As part of the Tree Amigos initiative each schools get 75 trees planted for them in Teaghlach Wood by Trees4Scotland. With the help of The Tree Amigos, each school will work through various mini-projects covering climate change and global warming, carbon footprints, reducing carbon footprints, trees and the environment and woodland wildlife. All of the schools involved are invited to take part in a field trip to Comrie in Perthshire to visit our Teaghlach Wood (Teaghlach means family or clan in Scots Gaelic) project, and to plant some trees! We also include a visit to Cultybraggan - a former WW2 prisoner of war camp which is now an eco centre for the village of Comrie. See our gallery for recent visits.
